TBDAbout Bill Engvall:
Bill Engvall is an American comedian, actor, and writer best known for his relatable, down-home humor and signature catchphrase, “Here’s Your Sign.” Born on July 27, 1957, in Galveston, Texas, Engvall rose to fame in the 1990s with his unique brand of observational comedy centered around everyday life, marriage, parenting, and the occasional dumb moment we all experience.
His breakout came with the 1996 debut comedy album Here’s Your Sign, which went platinum and launched him into the national spotlight. Engvall became a household name as a founding member of the wildly successful Blue Collar Comedy Tour, alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Ron White. The tour and its spin-off TV specials and shows reached millions and cemented Engvall as one of the top comedians of his generation.
In addition to his stand-up career, Engvall has appeared in television and film, including his own sitcom “The Bill Engvall Show” (which helped launch the career of a young Jennifer Lawrence) and appearances on Dancing with the Stars, Last Man Standing, and numerous comedy specials.
After decades of touring, Engvall announced his retirement from stand-up in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of laughter built on clean, clever, and genuinely relatable humor.
