About Creedence Clearwater Revisited:

Creedence Clearwater Revisited was formed in 1995 by two founding members of the legendary rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival—bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug “Cosmo” Clifford. Built as a way to bring the timeless music of Creedence to live audiences once again, Creedence Clearwater Revisited quickly evolved from a side project into a full-fledged touring act, reintroducing classic rock anthems to fans across generations.

After the original Creedence Clearwater Revival disbanded in 1972, the band’s music never faded from the public consciousness. Songs like “Bad Moon Rising,” “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” became American rock staples, known for their swampy grooves, socially conscious lyrics, and southern rock feel—despite the band’s California roots. Cook and Clifford, who helped define that sound, saw the demand for live performances and decided to bring those hits back to the stage.

With a lineup of accomplished musicians, including frontmen like John Tristao and later Dan McGuinness on vocals, Creedence Clearwater Revisited toured extensively across North America and internationally, playing sold-out shows and festival stages well into the 2010s. Their performances stayed faithful to the original recordings, delivering the unmistakable spirit and sound that made CCR one of the most influential American bands of the late 1960s and early ’70s.

In 1998, the group released Recollection, a live double album capturing the energy of their shows and serving as a tribute to the enduring power of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s music. While the band made it clear they weren’t trying to replace the original CCR, their mission was to honor and preserve the legacy—and in doing so, they brought the music to a whole new generation.

Creedence Clearwater Revisited wrapped up their touring career in 2019, but the spirit of their performances continues to resonate with fans who grew up with the music and those discovering it for the first time. Their commitment to keeping rock history alive has ensured that the songs of Creedence remain as vital today as they were over 50 years ago.
