About Josh Abbott Band:

Josh Abbott Band is a Texas-based country group known for their heartfelt songwriting, rich harmonies, and energetic blend of red dirt, Americana, and modern country. Formed in 2006 in Lubbock, Texas, the band was created by frontman Josh Abbott while he was attending Texas Tech University. What started as a college passion project quickly grew into one of the most influential acts in the Texas country scene.

The band gained early traction with their 2010 album She’s Like Texas, which featured fan favorites like “Oh, Tonight”—a duet with Kacey Musgraves that helped propel them onto the national radar. They followed that success with a string of popular releases including Small Town Family Dream, Front Row Seat, and Until My Voice Goes Out, each showcasing their signature mix of emotional storytelling and high-energy musicianship.

Known for hits such as “Touch,” “Wasn’t That Drunk,” “Hangin’ Around,” and “I’ll Sing About Mine,” Josh Abbott Band has earned a loyal fanbase across the country through relentless touring and an authentic connection to the heart and soul of Texas music. Their songs often explore themes of love, heartbreak, resilience, and small-town life, delivered with sincerity and a genuine country spirit.

With more than a decade of success and a reputation as one of Texas country’s standout live acts, Josh Abbott Band continues to evolve while staying true to the roots that built their devoted following.
